Egyptian cotton exports increase 12%

Statistics released by the Egyptian Central Public Mobilization and Statistics Bureau show that in the second quarter of the 2011-2012 agricultural season (December 2011-February 2012), Egypt’s cotton exports totaled 357,700 quintals (1 quintal equivalent). 100 kg), the same period in the 2010-2011 quarter was 317,500 quintals, an increase of 12% over the same period last year.
