I started working at VICE in 2008 and moved to New York for an internship. My university studies news and I always like reading magazines. When I graduated, VICE was the only company I wanted to go to. Fortunately, I had a friend who was living here. His band was under the VICE record. They helped me to contact the company. I went to the interview to start an internship, and then I went step by step. Position.

How did you choose to come to this neighborhood? In fact, I do not know this. I used to live in Bushwick, but I hate that place. Greenpoint's stuff is much cheaper than Williamburg's, and it's not so noisy, so I think it's wise to stay here. What will you use to decorate your house? I will decorate with some of my favorite things, some of them are on the trip, some old photos, old photos of my mother and my childhood, and some other gadgets that people give me. I think these decorations can remind me of family and friends, so it's good. So memory is important to you! Yes, my fiance was living in London, my parents lived in Georgia, and I was in New York. I have friends in many other parts of the world and it's good to remember these people with photos, because they won't always be there.

Did something particularly interesting happen in your home? I was married in my own home. It may be quite interesting. At the end of last year, Christmas days. There are no ceremonies but just watching movies together at random. He placed the ring under our little Christmas tree. I saw it. Then we... It wasn't a particularly dramatic scene. But it was very good. We are not all dramatic people. I think it's pretty cute now. We may not be the kind of fuss, so it's very, very low-key. (It's engaged at home.) Both of us think it is reasonable, but maybe others will think this is over? This is engaged?

What book/movie do you like best? I like to watch movies. I like many types of movies, especially some romantic comedies. I see a lot of them. But I hate horror movies. I can easily be scared. I can't see horror movies alone. I also like to watch some old TV dramas, such as "The Twin Peaks" is very good, there are "geeks and books". Reading books, I like the style is more diverse. I usually like to read novels, and I also like nonfiction literary works. I love to read Grace Coddington's autobiography. It's real and kind. Recently I was reading Emma Cling's novel "The Girls," which was written by a 25-year-old writer who has recently emerged. He probably talked about the story of the Manson Family killing a group of girls. It's interesting.

How do you maintain independence and personal creativity? Independence is not particularly difficult. My life has always been independent since my sisters moved away. I enjoy working alone, so I like to be alone and continue to charge myself to become a useful person. So I think it's not too hard to be an independent woman as long as you want to do it. As for creativity, I don't know much about it. It feels like everything is natural. Creativity sometimes happens sometimes. The important thing is that I want to know what I like and want, be true to myself, and not be influenced by others. Do you think there is a balance between work and life? Yes, I think the interesting thing about working in VICE is that there are a lot of young people here. Everyone is full of energy and they have similar interests. So I think the benefit of working here is that colleagues can also go for a drink after work. friend. But I think it's also important to separate work from life. Otherwise, it would be terrible. I like to go home without checking emails and things that I want to work on. With technology now, everyone has a mobile phone and you can never escape. Now that I'm off work, I will try my best to stop myself from paying attention to the mail and leave it to the next day.

When you look back, how have you changed now and ten years ago? I am 32 years old this year. I think the change from 22 to 32 is quite big. When I was a teenager, I was not sure about myself. I didn't know what I wanted or wanted. I think it was probably when I went to college that I started to know exactly what I liked. At that time I still lived in Atlanta. Now 32 years old, I feel that my life is very stable. I have a satisfactory job and can afford an apartment. I can eat outside and I like to eat, and stay with my friends who can play together. 10 years ago I will pay special attention to my figure, but now I become more confident. Do you like yourself now? Do I like myself? luv't. When I think I am young, I may not know what I am doing every day. I don't like my own hair. I don't think I am good at all. I want to become someone else. But I feel as you grow older, you become more and more confident, casual, and comfortable with yourself. So yes, I am very good now and I like myself now.

How do people around you evaluate you? I don't know, I hope they all like me and I think I am an interesting person (laughs). I think if you ask me about my friends, they will say that I prefer to stay alone, and sometimes I would stupidly say some funny jokes. Can you tell us a funny joke right now? Haha, I don't mean funny jokes, not real jokes. It means I sometimes say something that I think is funny, but in fact it may not be funny. Everyone will think you are talking silly.
