H&M launches FAA series again

Recently, H&M launched the 5th Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) series to raise funds for raising youth awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention. This year's FAA series incorporates folk elements from all continents of the world and will be released on April 26th, 2012 in about 300 H&M stores and on the Internet.

H&M invites internationally renowned artists and illustrators to design prints for the collection, displaying gorgeous colors, patterns and original personalities. Of these, 25% of the turnover will be used directly to fund a number of international projects aimed at increasing youth awareness of AIDS prevention and control. To date, H&M has raised 45 million Swedish kronor (about 6.76 million U.S. dollars) through its previous FAA project.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's director of global design, said: “I like the FAA series this year. It includes many global fashion elements, not only clearly conveys fashion information, but also helps promote AIDS prevention knowledge. This series includes Works created by artists and illustrators from different countries help us raise funds for important youth AIDS charities."

This year's FAA series uses the 21st century fashion stage to show the global ethnic customs: jackets and corsets are designed with colorful African-style decorations, leggings and short tops printed with black and white maori patterns, and drape T-shirts with ethnic pattern. Women's clothing has fringed dyed apparel, men's clothing including printed T-shirts and Harem pants, the series also designed hats, sports shoes and jewelry and other fashion accessories, as well as iPhone cases, holiday cloaks, hammocks and band-aids and other supplies.
