The low temperature water-soluble fibers make full use of the unique water-soluble properties of PVA fibers. The use of water-soluble PVA fiber blended with wool, cotton and linen, can increase the yarn strength, should not break the head, improve the spinnability, weaving, and then remove the PVA, you can get a fluffy, soft, lightweight, breathable fabric.
Japanese Kuraray Company first developed low-temperature water-soluble fibers. Chinese companies import this chemical fiber material from the company, with the highest price reaching 90,000 yuan per ton. Since 1999, the Sichuan Weichang Research Institute has cooperated with Sichuan University to develop low-temperature water-soluble fibers. It took 9 years and experienced many failures. Low-temperature water-soluble fiber was finally successfully developed. In 2007, the Sichuan Wei factory built an industrialized test facility with an annual output of 500 tons. Since then, it has undergone many technological and technological transformations and developed 20°C, 40°C and 60°C series products, which have reached international standards in product quality. At present, 3S water-soluble fiber has been sold for about 1,000 tons, and it currently has seven users. This move broke the monopoly of Japanese companies. The price of Kuraray's products has also been reduced to 45,000 yuan per ton.
After the 3S water-soluble fiber was put on the market, the SVW plant continued to carry out experiments to gradually improve the various indicators of the 3S fiber, and plans to build a production line of 1,500 tons per year by the end of this year.
